Mastodon boneRemains of mastodons and other Ice Age animals are often found by chance. Otto (left) and John Swennes found this mastodon ulna (leg bone) fragment after a flash flood in Long Coulee, near Holmen, Wisconsin. Otto and John were lifelong farmers and longtime friends of MVAC.
